Best screenrecorder / videoediting tool for tutorials?

Hey everyone, im looking for a new screenrecorder and a video editing tool for my tutorials I make.
I use camtasia 8 and After Effects at the moment.

Dxtory/Fraps

And i use Adobe after effects and Vegas pro.

Try Fraps if you're on PC. Use screenflow if you're on a MAC

But I dont really like Fraps, I want a good screenrecoder for tutorials, not games. Also fraps videos becomes so big because they arent coded with any codec.

dxtory is the best also use sony vegas mate my intro was done with sony even though it isnt the best intro i just started

I use After Effects for my intros, but that dxtory looked very old or so. Idk but I want a new screenrecorder thats made for recording the desktop, not games.

My Screen Recorder works well. I also use After Effects to edit my tutorial recordings -

Try using bandicam it works brileant

I'm somebody who really likes using Fraps, large files! But quality is not half bad.
