Am i the only one not trying to join a network/partnership

What I don't understand is how everyone and his dog seems to be getting invites from networks... What wrong with my content that they don't notice me? RPM, Fullscreen, Yeousch, even ATV, please notice me! Pretty, pretty please..!!1!!

It seems that everyone is applying for networks and partnerships etc etc, i haven't applied for any and my channel is small anyway. I just don't understand why people want to get into contracts and stuff, specially at an early stage of your channel ?

Everyone keeps telling me about having music you can use for videos, earning more money etc etc

But what do they actually do for you ?

i would happily join a network in an instant if i knew they would promote me in someway or actually give me a platform to put my content out to a bigger audience but they only seem to do that with their biggest channels

please let me know if h ave got this all wrong

Trust me mate you will, then you will start getting annoyed with the spam, the next one i get im going to reply with something totally unrelated like 10 facts about marvel superheroes and see what they do

I just don't see what a network will do for a channel just starting out that the person cant just do for themselves, its like they sign people up to take a cut of stuff they make so in the chance of any of them blowing up into the big leagues the network can make a bunch of money[DOUBLEPOST=1370383881,1370383766][/DOUBLEPOST]

So does that mean you can use copyrighted audio and just monetize the video ? like use any music you want ?

And ive received 5 different ones now and ive just been ignoring them but i am tempted to just make a tutorial video on how to get rid of networks spamming your inbox and just trolling them

You cannot use copyrighted audio and monetize it. You can use royalty-free music however.

Dude being in a contract is awesome! I love the stress of not worrying when Ill have to look for a new network, and I don't have to worry about other people offering me stuff It's fantastic!

Well I mean ya, how else can I have my "let the bodies hit the floor" song on my awesome COD without getting flagged? Oh I know what you are going to say "But what happens when your contract is over and you leave to another network? Won't that mean that now if your new network doesn't have the licensing to the song you used in that movie that went big, will get flagged for copyright?" Well Sir I say to that... Ill cross that bridge when I come to it! duh....

I'm glad I've become a partner when I got 1K views per day. It's a big accomplishment last yr for me. And I benefit a lot on joining a network with the old layout of YouTube and partnership was still hard earned. So basically, you can easily get more people watch you when you are a partner last yr since you have the perks. It's all gone now.

You can use custom thumbnails if you enable monetization through youtube, correct?
Or is it if you become a youtube partner?
Do people join networks in addition to being a youtube partner or can you only partner with a network OR youtube?
When you monetize videos through youtube, you get paid. Can you monetize your videos through youtube AND another network?
What does partnering with youtube do for you versus partnering with a network? Are they compatible and how are they alike and different?
