I've moved this to the copyright / claims / strikes / legal discussion forum. The YTtalk help forum is for forum-specific help. :)

The staff at YTtalk are just volunteers and aren't YouTube employees, so we really don't know the true reason. However, I've noticed a lot of those "download online video" websites have been shut down partly because of YouTube. I believe it is against their community guidelines to download other people's videos. I'd imagine creating a video discussing how to do that may cause the channel to get a strike and that particular video removed...

Copied directly from the YouTube Terms of Service page...

"you agree not to access Content or any reason other than your personal, non-commercial use solely as intended through and permitted by the normal functionality of the Service, and solely for Streaming. "Streaming" means a contemporaneous digital transmission of the material by YouTube via the Internet to a user operated Internet enabled device in such a manner that the data is intended for real-time viewing and not intended to be downloaded (either permanently or temporarily), copied, stored, or redistributed by the user."

Now, from the Circumvention of Technological Measures Legal page...

"When we say circumvention of technological measures, we’re referring to tools that allow users to evade a software’s licensing protocol. This can mean serial numbers, keygens, passwords and other methods to hack software or games."

Unfortunately, this also applies when material not meant to be downloaded for offline use is accessed and downloaded. If you want to keep your channel, delete any video which shows how to download YouTube videos, and any other hacking or cracking videos.

If you refuse to do this, your channel will be terminated eventually, ending your adventure on YouTube permanently.

What UKHyponist said ...

You should consider yourself lucky that you only got a strike and your account was not terminated.

Did you not read what UKHyponist wrote? You are advocating a circumvention of technological measures. They should have banned you for that and not just gave you a strike!

Hi

But there is a lot of videos in youtube that showing people how downloading youtube videos, why youtube didn't delete these videos ????

Can someone please point this user to my post titled "The Responsibilities Of An Internet Broadcaster" before I try to jump through my computer screen, grab him and and push him over to it myself?

You now have two strikes on your account, @casab. Go ahead and try it again; you will find yourself with a terminated channel. By the way you are posting, you will not accept the ban if you get it, but will try to create a new channel, which is also against the YouTube Terms of Service.

A YouTube termination=Lifetime ban from YouTube.

So, if you were in court accused of a crime and your defense was that its OK as plenty of other people commit the crime and get away with it? How do you think the judge will respond to that?
