I was wondering the possibility of this.

If we, as a whole site, voted on certain people or "sponsored" like 5 people, that we think are awesome. Then all of us will check out their channel, and subscribe if we'd like.

Reddit does something like this in the let's play reddit. It's called Unsucky Sunday, it happens every week. People submit their video submissions for Unsucky Sunday, and then the mods pick their top 5 and post them. The top 5 end up getting a lot of publicity.
