YT Famous?

Everybody tends to think of the biggest channels and refer to them as being YouTube famous. However, there are lots of niches that the masses would never know about. Am I YouTube famous? Yes, in my genre. There are families with young kids who call me their idol but most teenagers and college kids wouldn't have a clue who I am.
 
Fame is one of those weird things. Technically if someone is recognizable to a group of people then they are famous.
I have heard a lot of people say that YouTube famous isn't real fame, but like any other entertainer, you will have people that don't know about you.
There are people that don't know who Brad Pitt is and there are people that don't know who Shane Dawson is.
Fame is really subjective.

It happened to me again this morning I woke up and there in the mirror, that guy I have seen on Youtube.. It was amazing.. I hated how he kept mocking me and doing what I did. I was like dude really you have to mime everything I do?

Its all about personal feeling when you are famous, but, probably when Youtube becomes a job and you don't have to live off another job to support you.
