Youtubers who say "Hey guys"

It is true, it can be annoying. Maybe it is an opportunity to be more creative and think about something new to greet viewers.

I do say "Hello Everybody it´s [my channel name] here , how´re you doing?" and I have said it since the beginning of my channel.
I don´t know if people dislike it or find it annoying, since no one complains about it! I must admit I´m used to say it, so it would be hard to change it now!

I don't have any problem when people say those types of things lol.[DOUBLEPOST=1527104738,1527104704][/DOUBLEPOST]HEY GUYS THIS IS AUSTIN.

I haven't been around long enough to have a tag line. I will have to work on that. I'm guilty of using a generic greeting :(

This might be an unreasonable gripe - but it strikes me that so many Youtubers say "Hey guys!" - before waffling off onto whatever topic they have.

I don't know why I find it so irritating - but is anybody with me here? How do you greet your audience?

I sort of don't have a problem with a solitary "Hello" - because then it feels like they're talking more to me rather than their "Huge" audience.[DOUBLEPOST=1425471523][/DOUBLEPOST]
I actually quite like that :)[/QUOTE]

I get it. My greeting is a mouthfull that I mushmouth too often for my own comfort (I've learned, through editing my videos that I have a mild lisp, which I've noticed that both of my sisters have. My mushmouth is from a combination of that and trying to cram my greeting into <10 seconds, when it should probably fit into 25, comfortably. I've always spoken fast, though...), but viewers seem to enjoy that (when they comment on it), so I leave it. One reason I do this is to try and help them feel welcome to my channel, but also because my greeting serves multiple purposes. 1) I would greet someone at my door, so why not someone watching me do whatever I'm doing in my bed-or-living room? 2) My greeting tells them that they can expect varied content from me and 3) It welcomes new viewers warmly enough that, hopefully, they'll return to enjoy more content, 4) my videos are themed, and part of my greeting is to let everyone know what the day's theme is (makeup, crazy finds, faves, skincare, storytimes or vlogs) but also 4) because I'm a cornball, so they know that immediately and can decide whether to continue watching me be me.

It's definitely not bc I have a "huge audience", but because I genuinely appreciate my audience (and those who stumble into my channel from wherever), regardless of size (I've used this greeting, or a variation of it since I had 36 subscribers. No complaints, yet), so I'd feel pretty rude not greeting them (but that's because I was raised in an extra-strict household, I think. I have anxiety about the weirdest things...). I guess it's the least I can do.
