Youtubers who beg for subs & money - thoughts?

I'm not sure what I wanted to say with this, but I will try. :D

So .. Few days ago I found one pretty cool channel with ~200 subs. I really liked the way that someone passes some games. But holy donat of chocolate, that person begs for likes/subs in every video. I send him PM on one site, just to get some info about his setup, and I got answered with: "I use X and Y, and btw U should come and subscribe on my channel.". Like, pure begging. -.- Then I checked out some of the groups which I'm part of, he has like post for every video in most of groups of that type. I'm also member of some other groups, and I've noticed that same people always put their videos. Like spam 24/7. Another example is one girl from my state, she has like channel with her friend, ~150k subs, and now she made her own channel, and she now has 60k on personal channel. Same thing: "... Please share and subscribe.". What is wrong with you people? Another example are two sisters, also from my part of continent. They stole taggs from many famous youtubers, and they got like 300k subs in very short time. They are not begging for likes, but damn, they somehow made their fans to spam every possible FB groups with their videos. -.- I have like ~800 videos recorded, and I've never asked anyone to like my video, I'm more like: "Thank you for watching, and we'll see you soon in the next part... bye.". Patreon is another funny story. Even if I have like s****y computer, not even headset, and no microphone, with 6 year old components in it.. I get audio from 10$ web cam... I'm pretty sure I will never ask my fans to donate me to buy PC. xD What is wrong with the world? Am I crazy, or the world is? XD I don't even promote myself on facebook groups, I'm part of them just to watch other guys, ... Maybe someone will give me inspiration for something. I don't even begg for shoutouts like others do.. world gone wild or?

I hate it when people beg for subscribers, money and so on. I don't see the harm in reminding people at the end of video to subscribe but not begging them all throughout. At least for me it turns me away from the actual content of the video and then I won't bother trying to watch anything else from that same channel. But perhaps I'm too harsh when it comes to those types of channel or people in the community.

Also wanted to say: I think yesterday one of my idols put video where he reads comments. He blocked some via youtube system. And most of them are: sub 4 sub and other spam stuff. Youtube comments of famous youtubers are most spam. I really don't wanna look at pewdiepies channel with probably spam everywhere. :D Last time when I watched him, it was only that. :D

But again, in the past I've put 2 videos on 2 forums (YTtalk and Damnlag), it was just to get some basic feedback. But now I decided to go on hard mode with raising channel (no collab, no promotion, no writting comments). Just wanna see how good it will be. ^^

To me is; just record and be yourself, be consistend .. and fans will come.

I see that people does beg for likes and shares before they start to talk about what they are planning to talk about, which for me is very annoying! Why ask for it at the start of the video? If you get to the point, the like and subscription will be more genuine, at least for me anyway!

I'm instantly disinterested when people start begging for subs and likes. I see more and more people doing this nowadays too which is frustrating. I don't mind people saying something like 'leave a like if you enjoyed this video' but those who just ask for a like, without seeing the video itself at the beginning of the video I find very annoying. The worst in my opinion though are those who sub bot and sub for sub.

It somewhat annoys me as well, but it is so commonplace that I almost don't notice it. In fact, it is usually my indicator that there is no more content in the video and I can safely move on without missing anything.

I never ask for subs or likes or shares, though I do like tweets or Facebook shares of my videos and thank them for sharing. I have gotten people requesting videos and saying they'll subscribe to me if I do. I've also gotten people threaten to unsubscribe from me if I don't do it. I'm always like, whatever, man, you do what you want.

The only thing I ask for is money. I only do so as a means to give someone the option to have their request be done next instead of having to be put at the back of the queue. The only way to make it fair is if they do something that the others don't, such as giving me money. I ask for at least $5, but so far I've gotten $20 from 2 people each.

Like any call to action you gotta be firm and fast. The reason people do it in the beginning and hammer it in to the viewers ear sockets is because they understand that most people's attention span is tiny and they will move on before the video even finishes.

It makes for some unhappy people but for the people that like the channel they don't mind being reminded to sub and like, etc. and they will definitely do it.

If you make a video that's not the best you can still get people to like your video and sub if you do it at the beginning, on the other hand if your video rocks people's socks off then it only makes the viewer feel better that they liked and subbed and all that. Not sure if that makes sense. I am going to start putting a lil call to action in the beginning of my videos right after I've hooked the viewer in. Wish me luck!

It's more like who doesn't do that, am I right people?

I personally hate it. I've only done it myself once or twice to be funny but I'd rather just let the video stand on its own and let the viewer decide what to do. That said, were all sitting here with small channels amounting to nothing while taking the moral high ground aha
