YouTubers on The TCA's

Just finished watching the Teen Choice Awards and I fangirled so much because of the amount of YouTubers nominated. I find it amazing how mainstream media is finally starting to pay attention to the power of the internet. They usually announce the internet based awards quickly and right after a commercial break, but it was nice to see Tyler Oakley and Bethany Mota on stage accepting an award and giving a speech rather than just the announcer talking about them winning for 5 seconds.

I thought it was exciting to hear about the youtube winners! People like Tyler Oakley have touched the world in a positive way so i'm really happy for him.

I guess it's nice but I just find YouTubers increasingly annoying now that they're crossing into the mainstream.

I like but. But O2l won a teen choice award and they didn't even let on stage. If they did imagine the screams, I mean in the crowd screamed pretty loud for Bethany and Tyler. But of course, after the award show, there is drama because Cameron Dallas was nominated for two awards (choice male webstar and choice viner) but won he only one (choice viner). He then tweeted about how the award show is rigged. Regardless of whether the award show is rigged or not, I'm glad the choice male webstar was an actual youtuber and not a viner who made a few youtube videos. Those viner boys always seem to cause drama. Also, one of the viners tweeted something like they decided the winner based on who was at the show. This is not true because 1 Direciton and 5Sos won awards and in the web categories Zollea and pewdiepie did too. Tons of people won Teen choice awards who weren't at the show. I mean if the if teen choice awards are rigged you, there could have been a better way to tell the fans that.

Also, I noticed that had smosh announce something and JonD and Acacia (who are youtubers) present awards, cool they got the youtubers involved in the show.

Yea, I saw that. It was Carter Reynolds and Matt Espinosa being mad about Tyler (not Cameron) winning. But to be honest, I think Tyler has the bigger fan base, just based on the numbers.

Also, the Janoskians were there and I also think I saw a brief shot of Joey Graceffa in the audience.

EDIT: Just checked Twitter, and Joey was at the TCA's. Also, Tyler Oakley and Troye Sivan won best collab for their "Boyfriend Tag" which made me lol.

I was looking through twitter and I saw tons of famous YouTubers tweeting you see them congratulating Tyler, Bethany and o2l, including people they were nominated against. Then you see the viners tweet things about how the award show is rigged and Tyler already knew he won. Wow.

YouTube is more relevant than broadcast television and it has been for some time now, but we still get excited about YouTubers being on television! I wonder why that is?

To be completely honest none of the magcon boys should have won anything. I was really hoping Lele Pons was going to win choice viner but I guess not. In all honesty the Magcon boys have brought nothing but trouble...

I mean to be honest, I find some of their vines funny especially Jack and Jack, but I don't really like their personalities. But I don't hate them, I think that is taking it a bit too far. But I had never even heard of Lele Pons until they announced the nominees and I knew she didn't stand a chance.

Some of the things I found on twitter that I agree with:

Tyler Oakley has been doing YouTube for seven years and he raised a half a million dollars for charity. Cameron Dallas has been making six second videos for one year on an iPhone.

There was a picture of Connor Franta (the other male webstar nominee) at the moment when Tyler won and he was smiling. There was also picture of Cameron taken at the same moment and he was not happy.

After Tyler won, Connor tweeted congratulations, Cameron tweeted the award was rigged.

Magons fans are annoying, YouTube fans might get a little too excited but they aren't rude.

I actually really love jack and jack, they are like a different branch of magcon people, there is like magcon people and then the boys themselves. And the fans are the worst....
