Youtubers; help each other or nah?

It seems the question or complaint is YouTuber's do not help one another! I have been hearing this since I started my YouTube research several months ago. I for one have found plenty of helpful individuals who I have communicated with on a daily basis it's all about actually being involved in the community, I know some come to youtube because they are not actually that good at being social but it comes a time when you have to reach out, can't expect someone to want to collab with you just because they have the same sub count. I would love to hear everyone opinion on the matter.

It's basically a bit competitive. I'm takingoing my stagedy a bit differently. In the meantime I am planning on releasing my photos under the creative commons attribution license. It's a great way to advertise yourself. :)

I would have to totally agree with you on the matter. I first started making videos between 2010-2012 and this was the same complaint that everyone else was making. This has never went away. People are going to feel like that because they're not getting the results that they want and they don't know where to turn, so they complain about it. I have found helpful individuals myself, so it's really not about people not helping others. They're going to do what they want to do. I am actually not good at being social, hence the reason I have Asperger's Syndrome. The failure or success of your videos/channel is all in your hands. You have to put work into it and even then, you'll sometimes not have things go your way at the end of the day. Collaboration to me means that our styles are similar and that we're fusing together to make something new. For me, it's not about the money or the popularity. I get self satisfaction from what I do in general and it's always great when people listen in on my stuff. I'm glad that you posted about this. There are so many pretentious people on YouTube and on here. They act like the world owes them something and it doesn't owe them jack squat. You have to do it for the right reasons and not be lazy about it.

I can't say I've run into this in my experience. :/

Most of the people I meet just seem to enjoy making the content, we don't really focus on numbers too much. We'll talk about sub counts and views, but not to a point where we make it the main factor of our channels, we just focus on creating fun and engaging content. Of course the people I talk to have waaaay more subs than me, so it may just be my situation is different from others.

Thank you for responding and continue to fight your AS never let it define who you are. I am happy I am not the only one who notices this about others being helpful. I enjoy meeting people like you and talking sharing videos sharing stories it's been apart of my life forever and to have people actually watch my videos makes life that much better for people to show love for what I'm doing it is amazing. I will watch your videos and hopefully this is a beautiful friendship starting. I hope others reach out to us and not continue to hide behind the veil of illusion that just because you post a video about something I like doesn't mean we connect. Friendship must be mended.[DOUBLEPOST=1445649619,1445649257][/DOUBLEPOST]

Your great personality is the reason that happens but others have that issue. It sucks cause you want to reach out but when your having fun with others it's hard to look back. We as Youtubers need to pull one another along but not baby each other as well. Tough situation but I'm happy your finding success let's stay in touch.[DOUBLEPOST=1445649773][/DOUBLEPOST]

We don't need that competition tho it only makes it muddled and disgusting we don't need that. Let's all enjoy things as is and grow but that's in a perfect world.

I think in order for a colab to work there needs to be a natural chemistry between the YouTubers. Some personalities in the world are simply not intended to mix and when they do, nothing good comes of it. That is just the way the world works.
In my experience, this has been the main cause of things like this. Some YouTubers are only on YouTube because they want quick results and instant fame or they are in it for the money. All of these attributes promote the unhealthy type of competition that leads to this "I want to beat you, not help you" kind of attitude.
When coming across these types of channels, I know that they simply will not make it on YouTube. You need to have a passion for what you are doing as well as determination and you must be willing to put years of work in before expecting to get somewhere.
I think the source of the problem is that there are now far too many of these types of YouTubers on the site that creates a general negative environment when it comes to helping one another out.

Normally diversity is a good thing. We happy to have a abundance of talent. The issue lies there everyone wants to connect without a personal connection. You are absolutely accurate.we both might make videos about Minecraft but I might like to troll you like to build. We are totally different we shouldn't force a friendship for the sake of being friends. It has to be genuine to work at a high level.

Yeah, that is what I am meaning. Unless there is some form of natural chemistry and you form a natural friendship with the person, no matter what you do, you will not be able to make it work. Maybe in the short term but certainly not long term.

Thanks man. I appreciate that. I feel the same way about making videos as you do. Feel free to use any of my music for your videos. I also agree about mending friendships. Hopefully, this is the start of a beautiful friendship. =)
