"Youtuber" vs "Youtube Channel"

Hey all. I just had a idea, while there is a increasing amount of youtubers, there are still a lot who just have a channel to comment and like.

Now when looking at comments you may wonder whos a youtuber and whos not. I feel like their should be a way to tell, and maybe different channel layouts too.

What do you think?
I actually find that a lot of people who comment on videos make their own quite often. It's only the trolls who really don't.

Oh yes I definitively agree, and the color coded names is actually a really good idea, that could probably be easily implemented.
(Aimed towards coliwob, forgot to quote)

Say a video making users name was in purple and non video making users name was black. Now you're reading the comments and you come across an interesting/funny/intelligent comment or conversation. If the users name is in purple then you know that if you click there will be some kind of watchable content on the other end of that click. If the users name is in black then you know there is no point wasting time looking.

At the moment it is mostly a waste of time so I almost never click. In fact I only ever clicked so far to see if nasty people do videos themselves.

I think for something so simple it could be a good improvement.

That's what I reckon anyways.
Is taking a few seconds to click on someone's channel really that much of a waste of time?

There's people on twitter who don't tweet, Facebook who don't post statuses, Instagram who don't share pictures... Should they be separated from everyone else just because they don't?

I personally think it would look tacky. An account is an account, it doesn't matter what you do with it.

Well maybe its just me, but this idea is more convenient and quicker. Its a quick identifyer like that star tells you your a VIP, is that neccesary? Not at all.

And those are considered 'dead' accounts, well most of them anyways.

Like @TheDoctor_13 said, it's pretty much the same as the VIP thing. This isn't a question of making youtubers have more "rights" on youtube, it isn't "separating them from everyone else" It's just a way to identify who is who, so that, not necessarily you waste your time clicking on someone else's name who isn't a youtuber, but simply a way to speed up the process, and click on someone's name you know will be a youtuber, and possibly one who is funny, considering whatever post or comment they made on whatever video that got ranked up. As it is now, people will like your comment, but they won't click on your channel link/username sometimes because they have no idea you are a youtuber, and it probably doesn't even come across to them that you MIGHT be a youtuber! So the point is, if people see you are a youtuber, and like your comment, then they will most likely check out your channel, which would be great for the youtubing community, considering most of it consist of small channels, which could bring a LOT of needed attention. Although, like someone said, it would be an issue of what youtube considers a "youtuber" and if they DID enact this idea than they won't handpick the youtubers, there are just too many, so they would have to make a code for it to pick out everyone, which could just overflow youtube with supposed "youtubers" who have a single video up and thus rendering the entire idea pointless.

Though this could be solved with a simple agrorythem. I'm not sure how it works with websites, but say like If @name, >= subscribers & ??? views = true, then your verified as a channel. So you might not get verified right away (like you said one video up and thats it).

If you were in touch with your audience, you would know who are video creators and who aren't. To have some sort of visual cue would create user classifications without any significant reason to do so. What are you going to want next? Different colors for the amount of times somebody creates content on their channel?
