Yes I agree but at the same It seems you need more than just great gameplay, I am trying to figure out everything still so my oipnion is shot lol

Well, I'm sure the channels that does walkthroughs that I have stumbled upon, has probably been around for quite a few years

As a gamer channel, unless you are montaging HIGHLY skilled gameplay, you likely wont get noticed. It is the most saturated market on YT. You need something to stand out and poor audio (or no audio) is the first thing that gets noticed.
Ways to stand out
1) knowledge- news, top ten lists, whats coming up before everyone else is aware of it. Basically journalism. MrMattyPlays and Gopher come to mind
2) voice - audio quality. Think Markiplier and Jacksepticeye, they have unique voices, high quality audio, AND humour.
3) editing skills (probably the least important in a gaming channel)
4) skills- gaming skills, like stealthgamerBR for example. He doesn't use hs voice much at all but he is in the top 2% of skilled gamers in that genre
5) humour, like, really well written satyr and parody. For example, theWarpZone
