Youtube: why start and stay?

I have three channels, and my vlog one started because I loved what HaiLedaBear ( leda monsterbunny) so I made one but after a while my other channels started to do what my vlog did so I decided to eliminate it. After a while I activated it again thank to Leda because I remembered why having a log meant a lot for me and the way vlogs work are very heart-warming. So I wanted to know if there was a moment in time where having a youtube channel seemed dumb and you decided to leave it o continue and why?

Plus sorry my english if something is wrong

I haven't left yet but there has been plenty of times I have considered throwing it all in.
I guess I stick with it because I actually enjoy the entire process, even though it drives me insane sometimes :)

I will always have a youtube channel even if I stop making videos which will not happen. I record random s**t so I don't dedicate a ton of time for a good percentage of my videos. I do plan out some videos every once in a while, but a lot of my best videos are when I just pull out my camera and record. I go through times where I'm too busy for editing and stuff, but when I have free time I like to catch up.

I used to have a pokemon channel about 2 or 3 years ago. I was doing very well actually and if I kept at it for another year or two I could've been up with the bigger poketubers. I decided to trash the channel. Honestly its one of my biggest regrets. Rather than quit, even if I would've grown out of it I wish I got to see where it would have lead me. And a few of the you tubers I've been watching recently reminded me of that. Which is how my current channel came to be. I wouldn't quit for anything now :)

I'm pretty much done with Youtube itself in a way. I am more towards twitch now. Twitch may not generate as much money or anything but it has the live chat and it feels more personal. Also every night I stream on twitch it goes to Youtube as a "Let's Play" episode anyway but I just integrated the chat so it makes sense who i'm talking to and context now. I just feel for what I do twitch and OBS essentially cut out all my pain in the a** editing, rendering, all that. Plus it can export to youtube so no real reason for me to make content directly for there anymore!

I love having something to look back on. If it is important to me now I will remember how it meant something to me despite the reason and I like seeing how I was passionate about something ^_^. So nah don't think I'd just delete youtube cause I have done it with a past channel and I regret that however learnt :)

I stopped making videos when I went to college but now I'm out of it, I've made a new channel & its going well! The new channel was because I'm making different content and I don't think the people from 2009 even go on those accounts anymore :)

I consider giving up all the time. But I am very impatient.

I find it difficult to upload when I'm at Uni, however I'm not in Uni as much this year, and I've decided to "make a go of it". I consider giving in because I generally don't feel special enough and also working on my Youtube can sometimes get in the way of my own music. But in saying that, it brings me a lot of oppurtunities... so yeah.

I started to build performance confidence and just because it felt right. Also my friend, who's a youtuber kept telling me to (He like pressured me until I uploaded! I'm really glad he did though!). I've also made a lot of friends and had a lot of fun. I've grown a lot as a person, and my confidence is a lot better because of my channel.

So yeah, I have those "slumps" (like at the moment actually) where I want to pack it in, but it's just fear talking. Even though I know if I keep at it, I can maybe do something with it... maybeee...

Short answer: Yes. A ton.

Long answer: Quite a bit, actually. I remember doing it a year or two back, but don't remember the specifics.

But, I'm glad I brought it back.

Yeah few years back when youtube started issuing copy rights claims and I had to delete most of my videos. But I am back now with new original content, will see how it goes :) It is like plane sometime you go up sometime down and sometimes you stay on the the level for a long time :)
