Youtube VS. Vine

Hey everyone, so I'm considering on doing Vine as well and was wondering what everyone thinks about it.

Also, compared to Youtube, is it an easier platform to get your clips noticed?
And like on Youtube, is it possible to actually grow from having 0 followers?

And how many of you already use Vine?

Just something I'm curious about :)

I don't have a Vine account, but I know that Vines are 6 seconds long and I usually watch every Vine at least 5 times or something, and I think a lot of people do.
I don't know how you can get a lot of followers though, but I think it's possible.

I think Vines get more views because they're shorter and are viewed more than once.

I don't use Vine but the only times I have gone on it is to watch YouTubers videos that I already know of. I wouldn't even know how to find anyone who didnt just appear on my homescreen. But go for it, there are loads of people who do use it and know how to use it well :D

It hard to compare the 2 when on YouTube you can find various content ranging from VLOGs to Gaming videos and on Vine it's very short funny clips.

The reason why vine is very strong is because it is straight to the point.
A person watching a video online will lose interest within around the first 10 seconds.

Think about it like this:
You have a feature length movie of about 2 hours. It's a bit long and boring. If you cut this down to a short film of 20 minutes it can became a very good and cool film.

So from youtube video's where people dragg a lot to put random content in a video vine is straight to the point and if it makes people laugh or giggle the video did it's job and most likely get shared already or liked.
