Youtube Video Rentals?

Personally I don't think rentals are a good idea for your normal videos. Because then people will have to pay to watch something.
Unless you have a really good series going or really good content.

Just my 2 cents. Rather earn rev from the ads

Thanks ^_^ It's not for a regular video

I think the only acceptable time to set your video to a rental would be some type of 'special' like on Collegehumor they did a Jake and Amir 30min short movie special and it was like $3 or something but they didn't do that through youtube, but something like that sounds like the only way it would work successfully, if you start renting on your normal 3min videos you will become unpopular very quickly

You have to think out of the Box in this case. You can`t create something that you can find like a Million Times on YouTube and then expect someone to actually pay for it or even ahead of it YouTube accepting you for the Rental Program. There is an huge difference between being creative, unique and funny and creating something that people are willing to pay for.

For Example:

The YouTube Rental Program is used by a few Networks to offer Extended Content like Live Streaming from Concerts/Sport Events/Workshops what you would normally only find on Pay-per-View TV-Stations/Websites. YouTube itself has pushed very hard in the last few Months to improve their Features if it comes to their Rental Progam and all those recent Broadcasts that you have seen probably on YouTube are more or less just Test Runs for that Program to see how well it does work Live and what Problems might appear during that.

Thanks @Sanuku problem is I'm with fullscreen, and when I click the apply button it takes me to my settings page 0_0 so I contacted my fullscreen rep directly, hopefully I get access (fingers crossed)

I`m pretty sure that it won`t be a Problem since Google and Fullscreen seem to work very close together if it comes to Features on YouTube. Still I would advise you to take a closer look at the Content you want to put for Rental Online on your Channel because as already said:

If it`s not worth it you shouldn`t put it Online and as far as I have heard the Rental Team isn`t a Place were you get easily a second Chance similar to the Adsense One so make sure your first apply does count.

My advise would be to see it similar to an application and therefor you should be prepared way ahead of it before you even ask YouTube or like in your Case Fullscreen for it because the first impression will always count the most and if you don`t make the most out of it you have already lost before you have even tried it.

I have a Weight Loss Plan that has been tried out by numerous youtube guru's and they have had tremendous success and made video testimonials

The video for rent will be a step by step 7 day guide on how to lose 10lbs or more (the healthy way) in just one week. It's also available as a book. It will be well worth the rental price! And it's guaranteed to sell as the book has already been selling extremely well ^_^
