YouTube Verified Tick For Some Videos

I was searching for some videos on YouTube the last three days and saw the verified tick next to quite a few videos despite the user having only a few subscribers and not even verified on Google+. I even searched my own YouTube name and I had the verified tick next to a few of my videos, but not all. Has anyone else seen this happen in the last few days?
 
I am not familiar of this verified tick in which you speak of. In short, I've never seen anything like it really or know what it is. Could you post a pic or something?
 
Yeah, I've seen this too recently on some videos. Also I think another thread has been created regarding this issue.

I've seen it too. Some channels with 3 subscribers have it, but once you go on their channel it's gone.
 
I'm so confused right now! i thought only the big YouTuber and the people on Google plus with lots of activity going on gets this check mark! Just now i was looking at techno music because I felt like listening to it (it's kinda my jam :3) and then I see this following result:

Now this guy doesn't have much subscribers and he doesn't have that much activity going on his g+ (By activity I mean like +s and followers.) So, now I'm really confused, is it actually possible to get this check mark at the amount of subscribers I have now? If so, how do you get it? (Please note that visiting this guy's channel, you don't see the check mark next to his name, which makes me feel suspicious a bit...)
 
Yeah, I've seen that glitch before on other small channels. Hopefully it will get fixed soon and stuff...
