YouTube Thumbnails: Text or No Text?

I've kept using words in my thumbnails, however I now try and keep words to a minimum. I now usually use just two or three keywords in my thumbnails.

I think that switching from putting the full title in the thumbnail to keywords was a good switch.

Personally I just try and not clutter the thumbnail. A few words (3-5) is what I try to stick with most of the time.
