SEO, to be honest, is quite simple if you know what you think best describes your video. Make the title as descriptive as possible, same with the description. Try and fill the tags box up with things other people would type in the search box to find your video. Make sure that you have similar things in the title, description, and tags. If YouTube recognizes that this one thing is appearing in your title, description, AND tags, they will rank it higher and think it's really important. Please note that good viewership is also a big part of YouTube's algorithm.

Audience retention and viewership and likes, comments, favorites, shares, etc. play a big role in SEO. You can't really achieve high SEO with just great titles, descriptions, tags, etc., although they help immensely.

Ok so what about my Royals Cover? For the tags I put " LORDE ROYALS, ROYALS LORDE & ROYALS " I also have the lyrics in my description with "Royals by Lorde" Is that good SEO?
