Anyone else familiar with this?

I am leader of youtube channel deactivators, we have more than 5000 google accounts to do this.
I am going to get your youtube account suspended/terminated if you dont pay me $1500. You have only 48 hours to reply this mail.
if you agree , reply YES to this mail. and i will message you on how to pay by bitcoin
if you do not agree, ignore email and watch this space ( youtube account ; will be terminated ) in 48 hours.

Yeah I have emailed creator support it was a direct email so I'm doubtful they could make anything happen but I've experienced massive false flagging in the past which I guess is what they do.

While you could ignore these kind of kiddy threads, there's nothing stopping those people from forcefully subbotting/ viewbotting you.

Just be careful.

I was slightly concerned because there was an account terminated last year due to someone demanding money and them ignoring it. They did get the account reinstated eventually though but what a nightmare.

Here is my response from youtube support:

I understand you have concerns about the email you've received from youtubsuspended@gmail.com who claims to deactivate your account if you do not pay them. We sometimes receive such concerns from our creators with regard to the emails that they receive from spammers.

I request you to delete any such emails and you might want to spam them so that any future emails from the sender's email adderss will be blocked and moved to spam.

As you know, services that attempt to get YouTube views through automated means or attempt to force or trick viewers into watching videos or asking creators to pay are not accepted on YouTube. This could include the following:

Purchasing views from third-party websites (e.g. paying $10 for 10,000 views)
Demanding money to avoid suspension or termination of channels
Deceptive layouts on third party websites that trick viewers into playing a video when they click unrelated elements on the page.
Serving pop-unders: A new window that appears under a current window.
Redirects: When the URL changes and sends the viewer to a new page in the middle of a click.

I know you wouldn't be interested in these, as I had a quick look at your channel and I see that you've put in quality to nurture it.
