Youtube realtime analytics, and video manager numbers not matching

I've Got It
I know that numbers tend to get fixed over time, but does anyone know how long it takes for the video views on the video manager takes to catch up to the real time analytics?
I uploaded a video a few hours back, and the realtime stats says there are around 600 views, and the video manager says there is 100 views.
I know it will eventually level out, but does anyone have experience with this?
I will check back in a bit. I am going to let my little guy watch a gaming channel for a bit.

No idea, I just discovered real time analytics earlier today... Although I do see over 600 views on your latest video so it's all caught up. Great content btw :)

It pretty much caught up about 4 hours after publishing the video. I stopped by your about page, and like what you wrote. I think it is pretty cool. I will watch a couple of your videos in the morning :)

I think it's to do with how youtube can only register so many views per hour or something. Which is why popular youtuber's new videos that have only been up for maybe an hour are still showing 301 views rather than the actual amount which they see in analytics.
 
Mine always shows more views in the video manager and it takes longer for the analytics to get caught up

Thanks for responding :) That has been my experience too.
 
It depends on how many views you get and how busy the traffic to your videos is. On my recent videos the view count sometimes has been catching up to the realtime and eventually match, but the system doesn't have much estimation or averaging to do in my case. It is true that it can be off by a few or so for a channel like mine but for larger channels it can be a wider margin of error. Just take it as a general estimate of how your video is doing and go by the view counter and analytics when they finally roll in for specifics.

View update times can vary from minutes to a few hours.
