Hi guys I’m Nick, artist, and obviously a noob to this forum but I’ve been trying to build my youtube presence on and off for the past year or so. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but I'm pretty sure I’m the worst when it comes to social networking and marketing lol. Being an artist, my goal is to build a following around my art so most of my videos are speed paints and how to draw videos. When I upload a new video I don’t do much marketing other than posting the link on art forums, Facebook, twitter etc. the problem is I don’t have that much of a following on any or these platforms so sharing it is basically useless.
Just a couple of minutes ago I posted this new video on my channel and I would like it if some of you gave me a critique on its parts and what I could do to improve to get more views.

Title - Is having a click bait title gimmicky? Does this title make you want to find out what the video is about?
Thumbnail - Do you think these types of thumbnail images repel more people than they attract? personally I wouldn’t watch a vid with a thumb similar to this because my initial thought is that the vid is a waste of time. But the demographic I’m trying to reach would most likely click this or a similar looking thumb. Does this thumbnail stand out to you?
Production quality - I spent a week learning some basic motion graphics techniques in Adobe after effects and possibly even longer creating the “style guide” that all my videos should follow. What do you think? what could I improve on?
Branding - Sort of touched on this in production quality about my style guide. I want my “brand” to feel very sleek clean but not too serious (modeled it after video game companies) and I think I got that across in my opening intro with my name and logo. What to you guys think of the logo? the Typography? the Animation? The color palette?
My plan with the aesthetic I created is have two different types of content on my channel: “short content” like speed paints something that can be watched in 5 mins or less and “long content” like livestreams and discussions about art.
My short content will be much like this vid but my long content will be more serious and the graphics will be more consistent with the logo ( no starwars themed typography for example).
Music - I know the music is sort of slow paced for this type of vid but I really wanted to use a track from the Dragon ball series that also sounded like it could be from one of the old starwars movies. Do you guys think that the music plays a big role in how long viewers watch or if they even stay?
