YouTube Is Experimenting With YOUR Sub Box!

This screenshot was recently floating around Twitter. Some of you may have noticed that the videos in your sub boxes aren't appearing in their usual order. That's because YouTube is deciding to prioritize what you, as a user, see first. On paper, this seems like a good idea, but the key thing to keep in mind is that you don't have a say. You don't get to choose the order. YouTube does. And YouTube might decide to bury certain channels in the sub boxes or maybe not even display them at all. I don't know about you, but that's a very scary precedent. Even though they've been doing this for a while, this just about confirms it. Now it's not just competing against the algorithm, you're competing against the algorithm of the sub boxes. Thoughts?

Lame. I can see what they are trying to do but it hurts smaller creators. We don't have as much time nor the numbers like big companies running channels do. And now they want to make it even harder for our subs to watch us in the first place? Not cool. I just don't see this benefiting us at all. =\

I saw one YouTube employee review that talks about giving small channels more opportunity to appear on SEO, I think that's part of it aswell he says they are doing experiments on that

what!? they are messing with all 10 subscribers of mine!? hahahahahahh...

XD :) :p

OK, being serious, I am not subscribed to any camper or RV automobile channel.
i Just watch alot of those videos especially on conversions.
So I usually got notifications on videos of this kind.
I like this kind of feed though...

False alarm, everybody. Apparently it's going to be an optional feature. That still baffles me, however, because the original poster was wondering why their videos weren't in chronological order. So clearly, they didn't manually set it as a feature. I bet YouTube realized how much backlash they were getting and decided they should probably make it optional. lol

I noticed that with people I’m subscribed to and with my channel as well. Every time I upload a new video the video before that one gains traction instead of my new and the views to my new video don’t come until a few days after it even until my next uploading day. It’s frustrating because some subscribers would be like why didn’t you upload any new videos this week and I would be like I did upload!
