Youtube in 5-10 years time?

I think in 5/10 years time Youtube will still be the same right now, the only difference will be Youtube will be even more populer and bigger than now and we will see big Youtubers like Marcus Butler, PointlessBlog, Joe Sugg, Zoealla will have over 20/50M subscribers on Youtube!

Why do you say/think Youtube is going become a Only TV Channel thing and all of the sudden get rid of small Youtubers(Vloggers,Gamers, lots more.)?

I am sorry mate but i don't see Youtube will ever doing this anytime soon simply because there are millions of people who are small Youtubers making videos and they don't want to go on Youtube the next day and all of the sudden that there channel and videos has got deleted on Youtube

I GUARANTEE YOU if Youtube do this and make a only online TV Steaming thing like Netflix and get rid small Youtubers then There will be lots of Small Youtubers(including myself) be very mad/p****d and disappointed at Youtube for doing such stupid thing.


So i really hope Youtube won't make into a only online TV streaming site Netflix and keep it the way it is right now in 5/10 years time.

Big companies are going to realize the potential of YT and hit it hard. Instead of cinema and TV, they´re going to bet on sites like YT. They´re gonna create channels about all kinds of subjects and deliver videos in a very profissional fashion. They´re gonna spend millions in marketing and attract millions of viewers. And that´s something that´s already happening. A big company can even fabricate a Vlogger and make him an internet celebrity. They can do a lot of things once they see how YT can be the future.

YT will take the big companies side and start shutting down small Youtube channels that use any kind of copyrighted content, because that´s what the OWNERS of the content will want. They will want THEIR content being used only by them or by big companies that pay them to use it.

Oh, and look at what´s happening with music on Youtube. Look at Vevo. This is just the beginning. 10 Years from now YT will basically be like TV, and on TV you don´t see nobodies making money with amateur content.

Maybe we see in 10 years time(not in 5 years) to see if it does actually happen or not............

Even if Youtube do this and get rid of small Youtubers, As i said There will be millions of Small Youtubers(including myself) will be very p****d/mad and disappointed that there videos all there hard/effort putted into there videos/channels will be gone and all there hard work will be nothing at the end which is terrible and sad! :( :(

I doubt YouTube will ever do this and turn into a Online only TV streaming site like Netflix becuase they will be very bad after affacts for Youtube and Google, So i can't even imagine Youtube doing this stupid thing!


And anyway there are lots of Online TV streaming sites like Netflix,Hulu, and they do good enough job for watching TV online and There are lots of people(and me) who don't want Youtube to become one of them because YouTube was not created for TV Streaming and it was created for people who want to share there videos with other people on the internet.


If you want to watch TV online go to Netflix/Hulu, I would rather make Google make there own online TV streaming website like Netflix instead of turning YouTube into a online TV streaming websites like Netflix.

YouTube will still exist in five years. There will be more 'paid' options like television shows and movies.
 
I don't think anybody could have imagined YouTube being the way it is now, when it started 10 years ago.

Who knows what it'll be like in 10 years, or if it'll even be around in 10 years. I can definitely see a lot more original content showing up. Netflix like stuff, original shows and whatnot. Legit shows, by studios. :eek:
 
Honestly, I feel like youtube is going to something reaally stupid that's going to make a lot of people jump ship. I remember awhile back when they changed how they flagged videos and everyone was getting strikes, there were a few Youtubers that started setting up ways to continue putting out videos then(Setting up their own websites,looking at other video sites, ect.) I can't even imagine how much youtube could change within the next 5-10 years.
 
I can agree with many people in this thread, YouTube will still be around in 5-10 years time, it's been the only decent site of it's kind for the past just under 10 years so it's hard to imaging anyone now being capable of matching it.

For the average YouTuber I don't think it will affect them, Google has the funds so I can't see them charging to upload anything or have a channel, though like @markkaz said there will probably be more paid options for larger channels such as movies and shows.

However I can agree with what @Splinter said, big companies are going to realize, heck allot already have, the potential YouTube has for their business, I can expect to see more large corporations using YouTube.
 
It's got too big for there to be anything but the remotest possibility that it won't exist in 5-10 years.
I think youtube is just going to get bigger and more mainstream, with YT celebrities getting as much attention as normal celebrities.
