Youtube idols

A lot of the really successful youtubers, I respect/admire them for their results ie the number of subs they have, but I don't particularly like their content. For example, smosh gets 10,000 new subs EVERY DAY which is obviously awesome and I admire him for that and his work ethic, but I don't find him funny in the slightest.

PewDiePie gets 40,000-50,000 subs every day. Just saying. I also agree that smosh has to be the least funny thing that I have ever watched. The humour is meant for 6 year olds.

There are definitely some big names that pop up, but the biggest inspiration for me has been Ryan Higa. I admire his dedication and style, and in my opinion, to this day, no one can put out high quality comedy such as the Nigahiga crew does.

Wow, 40k / day that is mind boggling. Seeing success like that is what keeps me going. I realize I'll never get close to that big, but it does prove the huge potential reach that YT has :)

Oh I just remembered one - Rémi gaillard (user name "nqtv") He's not an idol in that I'm not an aspiring comedian, but I think some of his sketches are hilarious, plus there's a back story that a so-called French TV star had been plagarizing Rémi's YT material and using it on his TV show, naively thinking he'd get away with it until he got called out on it. Plus Rémi lives in my city :D

PewDiePie's humor is slightly advanced - the 10 year old demographic.
