Loving YTtalk
Before I start this thread I would like to mention that I am not a gaming channel - but enjoy watching gaming channels. YouTube Gaming is only useful for Gaming channels and won't benefit anyone else from what I've. First impressions - It's great!
YOUTUBE GAMING HAS LAUNCHED!
It's been live for about 15 minutes and it looks great. Very well presented. It has a very solid 'gamer' feel to it and very simple design which is extremely easy to use and figure out.
LIVE STREAMING - is going to be huge on this website. From the YouTube Gaming website you simply scroll down and it is covered in people who are live streaming. From the most watched - all the way to the least watched. Endless and endless amounts of live streaming. And even as low as streams being viewed by 2 people!
This is great! They all seem to be on the first page...currently. This could change when more and more people start using YouTube Gaming but this is GREAT promotion for smaller YouTubers - play and interesting game and have a catchy title/ thumbnail and people are sure to check out your channel.
HOW TO GET ON YOUTUBE GAMING:
From what I see it's simple - just tag your channel as a gaming channel, make everything about it gaming and you are sure to show up in the search results. I type in some random words and have found TONS of smaller YouTubers already so this is a great tool for all of you to use. STAND OUT! Use the best tags, titles and thumbnails - be eye catching etc AND YOU WILL get more subscribers!
Try it out - search for your channel and it should be there!
IS IT ONLY GAMING?
YES! I tried search for my channel - nothing. I tried searching for other popular channels - Marcus Butler, Caspar Lee, anyone who isn't gaming - they're not there!
You have a lot less competition to deal with.
HOW DO I UPLOAD?
There is an upload button on the site - BUT I don't think you need to do it this way. When you press the upload button it automatically takes you to the regular YouTuber uploader. I think all you need to do it put your video in the gaming category and tag it correctly and it should appear on YouTube Gaming (This needs to be tested/confirmed)
But play it safe and press the upload button in the top right hand corner of the YouTube Gaming site. From this point it will be like uploading a regular video.
I'M NOT A GAMING CHANNEL BUT HAVE A GAMING VIDEO
It looks as though as long as your video is listed under games and is tagged as a game then your video will show up.
There are some videos on there of the chubby bunny challenge and cinnamon challenge and things like that - where they have listed their video as a 'game' and it has showed up.
LAST THOUGHTS
As long as you're a gaming channel - you're all set! You're on the website.
Use it to your advantage! You have a lot less competition from other channel types at the moment. So get producing some videos. It will be a lot easier for other gamers to find your channel.
Live Streams seem to be an easy way to gain from subscriber at the moment as there are not many on there and they're all on one page - just do what I said above and make yours stand out!
I hope this helps you all!
UPDATE
CAN YOU SEE YOUR OWN CHANNEL - EVEN IF IT'S NOT GAMING?
YES! If you're logged in to regular YouTube, you can go to YouTube gaming, go to the top right where your profile picture usually is and click 'My Channel' - it will then take you to your channel.
Heres a look at mine -

HOW CAN I VIEW MY SUBSCRIPTIONS?
You need to import them - and it's not as hard as it sounds!
Just look for this on the right hand side and press it -
