YouTube Gamers who don't talk

Personally never understood this. Good commentary or not, it's still commentary, which is still more entertaining than watching someone play a game without talking.

I've seen a guy make 1000 videos of him drinking a bottle of water each, and a couple of hundred eating a pound of carrots each (probably going for a thousand there too...)

Since he usually gets about 3 views per video, I just tell him I did watch it, and that's it. He never actually asks me to explain anything about his videos (thank goodness).

The whole reason to go to a gaming channel is partly to see or hear the person playing the games. If it wasn't for them talking then why even upload gameplay footage unless you're doing a tutorial of some sorts... I prefer to get to know the person who plays the game more than the game itself. Any good commentator or even a laid-back (by laid-back I mean they don't force humor) commentator make the game a thousand-times more enjoyable. People watch YouTube to see other people more than video games... and if you like video games more than other people then you are one in a million on YouTube.
 
Sub par gaming with amazing commentary. Easy. I may have an interest in the game, but I wouldn't watch unless it's someone like pewdiepie or the other bazillion youtube gamers I'm subbed to
 
While I do love gamers who attempt commentary like UnitLost, there are some games which are just unsuited for commentary like Gran Turismo. So, it all depends on the game for me :P
