YouTube Gamers: Good & Bad Games

So I've played a variety of different games now on my channel and have found that some do better then others. This is what I've found so far:

Did Well:
PokeMMO
Minecraft
Cat Mario
Happy Wheels (sometimes)

Did Bad:
Castle Crashers (still new but not doing as well as other new videos)
Earthbound (stopped the series because it didn't do good)
McPixel

Some people say you shouldn't play some games that are over-saturated on YouTube already but Minecraft I started playing and have a lot of views so far on them whereas not many people were playing Earthbound but it did bad.

What games have done good/bad on your channel so far?

Good
COD, Garry's Mod, Happy Wheels, SSBB, MvC3, SF4

Bad
Both my DBZ LP's aren't doing that well but I was kind of expecting that going into it.

Honestly though, if you really like the game, would you really think it matters if it does well or not? You have to ask yourself one question, are you having fun with it? If you are, then continue to play the game. xD

Did Well:
Minecraft
Pokemon 3D
Star Wars Conquest
Roller Coaster Tycoon 3
Most Scary Games
The Sims 2
Sim City 4

Did Bad:
Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion
Happy Wheels
The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time
The Sims 3
The Amazing Spider-Man
The Ur-Quan Masters
Earthbound

Those are pretty much all the games I've played on my channel. I've had like one parters that I've never returned to but I didn't bother with those. Minecraft does well for me if I play a popular mod, or modded series, something along those lines. Vanilla Minecraft doesn't do so great most of the time. I've returned to a few older, popular series, like Sim City 4 and Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, and those did moderately well. I also had to stop Earthbound because of low views, as well as a few other games. My popular series got popular over time, after I've stopped with them already. Hopefully I can get some more series people enjoy in time. :)

Not a gamer, but as someone that watches a few gaming channels, I hate to see dying series. I want the YouTuber to succeed and wasting time to record, commentate, edit and render when their viewers aren't interested... They could be focusing on series that their audience likes and making better videos around that.

Agreed, it takes a lot of time doing it. No point in spending all the time and effort if no one is going to watch.

Yeah I agree with what others said about this. If you love playing a game, don't not play it because it's unpopular on YouTube! However, I would just play it on my own and not record my gameplay if it was doing poorly. Like they said, too much time and effort goes into recording, rendering, editing, etc. Might as well play a game on your own if it's not doing well on your channel and play other games you like instead that will do well too.
