YouTube Feed: Is it Gone?

PressRecord

Daily Vlogs on a Daily Basis!
Hi guys,

Some of you might be aware of the benefits of using YouTube Feed to promote your old videos. You can post up your videos and other peoples videos and post it to all of your subscribers with a personalized message. Anyone who has their subscription box set up to all activity will see this.

I know that the feed is still there, but I can't seem to find where to post to feed. Since this new update I'm afraid they might have removed that feature to repost old videos and other peoples videos. It seems like it is strictly automated now with sharing your likes, comments etc.

If anyone is familiar with this technique do you know where you can post to feed?

Thank you!

Mike

I think I know what you mean and the direct link for your channel would be (unless I misunderstood)

Any idea on how to get to this though without the link? There used to be a button on the dashboard that would take you there. Now it was removed. It seems like they might be taking away this feature =X

No idea, I always went to it via the direct link after reading an article about it. It's never something they have really advertised or made very prominent - I guess they don't want channels abusing some of the features that are available with it.

I.. haven't heard of this, at all. Well you can try liking your old video, and that would work, I've seen people do it, or liking a video from their secondary channel.

Yeah that makes sense. It is something that could be easily abused. I myself changed off all activity after the first few days it was released. However, I can't say I'm not opposed to promoting work on there on occasion. I've never used the direct link I've always used the dashboard button. It's good to know we can still post for now though =X[DOUBLEPOST=1393912007,1393911947][/DOUBLEPOST]

I was wanting to post other peoples work to our subscribers with a message attached. Luckily they posted a solution above, =)

Oh yeah, it's really useful for sure, particularly for stuff like seasonal videos that are relevant just once a year. With the feed you can quickly "inform" your subs of the vid again :)

Yeah not a lot of people know about it, but it can be quite useful. I personally like it to promote videos not from my channel. My main channel has 10k subs and my new channel has 400 lol. So whenever we make a bigger video I like to plug it on there for extra promotion.

Over the weekend, I noticed that the Feed link was gone too. It's a shame because it helped me re-boost older videos.

Good idea. Yeah, I discovered it via an article on YTtalk from ages ago of someone explaining how to use it to inform subs of older videos that they might not have seen due to subbing after the vids were made. I'm a bit wary about ******* my subs off though ;)
