Youtube external link in annotations

HightLink

Posting Mad!
Hey, i wanna put annotations in my videos towards facebook and twitter, dose anyone knows how to do it? I only able to find the method with the redirect link using wordpress.

That's how you do it. The plugin "pretty links" works. However, technically you're not supposed to do redirects, so do it at your own risk. Will YouTube do anything about it? If you're only redirecting to facebook, twitter, etc, your chances are better but still.

I have a .ro domain that I didn't use it for a while (hope it's still active because is paid for life :giggle:) and I could use it but I'm to lazy, I was hoping that there could be another way...

Leave the links in the description. My understanding is your'e not allowed to have annotations to webpages outside of youtube, unless its for Merch or a Fundrasising project in which case the urls need to be okayed by youtube.

You can link to external sites on paid video campaigns/sponsored videos. The reason that YT doesn't allow you to do it normally is because it's one of the biggest perks of promoting a video.

Thanks for help, i did a screen at the end of the videos with subscribe, twitter, facebook, last videos and it look kidna stupid without annotations on facebook and twitter

You CAN link to one associated external website if your partnered, but it has to be your own because YouTube verifies it. I link to my personal blog at the end of every video, YouTube gives you the option for one only. So you could link there then direct your viewers to facebook and twitter from a landing type page.

Another problem is that... i don't have the associated option
