Youtube Etiquette: Should you reply to all comments?

I respond to all comments usually even if its something simple like "cool" For those simple comments i usually just say thanks for the support and checking out my video. Works every time ;)

We answer all the questions and try to leave some sort of a response to the majority of the other comments. If there's less than 500 comments per day, it's pretty easy, but sometimes there are thousand of comments, so we don't always get around to everything.

I do respond to all my comments.
I try to make it unique, so there can be three person saying "cool" about my video.
I would respond and say Thanks for 1st comment, thank you very much to 2nd comment and thank you for your comment for the 3rd comment
so it is slightly different from each other.

Generally I try to respond to all comments unless it's something that really doesn't need an answer. I think it's really helped build up some regular commenters on my videos.

I tend to respond to most of them but not where others are having a discussion unless I have some sort of input for it. I sometimes feel like I shouldnt respond if all I am doing is thanking someone but I do think people appreciate it, I think it can look a bit funny if you respond to loads of them with thanks etc (I still do this as much as I feel like this at times).

This is exactly what I do also. I don't reply to every single one, but will do if its a question or a query about the video itself.

I sometimes get people who leave a comment on one video, but are actually asking a question about one of my other videos! Lol

I try and respond to all of them that's on topic. But the bigger you get (I'm not big of course) the harder it becomes.

I have experienced something similar here at YTtalk, I used to go through every introduction thread every couple of days to welcome all new members, now I find it exceptionally hard to do so that were growing so rapidly so now I only respond to a few here and there, I kinda feel like I am leaving others out but it has gotten to a point where its nearly impossible for me to do so, so I understand now why YouTubers are like that with their comments section when they get so big, they might feel that if they reply to one, why not to all etc

Yeah, I was thinking maybe some of them might say to themselves "I'll respond to the first 10 or 15 on every new video" or something. Of course some just chuck responding altogether and I bet it's to be fair to all the people who comment.

I would hope so, I think that would be a reason I would stop myself in their position so others arent let down or whatever.
