YouTube Email Notifications

I always receive email notifications from YouTube notifying me that I have more subscribers but sometimes there are a lot of subscribers subscribing to me but I only receive a few emails so I wonder if YouTube only sends selected notfications?

For me, it sends me an e-mail only if the person shows their subscribers publicly. Otherwise it doesn't.

I don't exactly know how those emails work, but I have noticed the same things happen. I will get one email telling me of a subscriber, when in reality there is more than one at that time.

If somebody is hiding their subscriber count, then I think email won't be sent to u

I had that issue a lot so I just disabled my notifications because it was getting a bit confusing. What the others say. I still leave it on and sometimes when someone subscribes I go and check out their other activities to learn a bit about my audience and what else they are interested in.
