Youtube earning gone down...

My Guess is
in this april only the earnings are got down and we may hope that from next month onwards the earnings graph will be average as per per your previous earnings
because in these days advertisers are not giving interest to recommend youtube videos and displaying their ads before or after the video
so we have to wait for the next month to see the earnings, if it is same as april we have to think about it

Long videos (with high audience retention values) get rewarded because they can show more ads.

As a whole, ad prices are down 10-15% compared to what they were a year ago this time. There are also more people using ad blockers.

hmm yeah i guess :/ and that makes sense what you saying about youtube prioritising... i haven't uploaded in a few months which might explain the lack of revenue from the old videos... and although its not my livelihood all revenue goes into future videos. se we'll see if it goes up when i start regularly uploading again after exams

I just wondered of anyone else has notest the same: despite having more views than last year my youtube earning have gone down? has this happened to anyone else?

I don't know, I actually don't monetize. Especially since I don't make more than a few cents.
