Youtube earning gone down...

HI Guys,
I just wondered of anyone else has notest the same: despite having more views than last year my youtube earning have gone down? has this happened to anyone else?

That's what youtube is turning into. You just need to keep grinding

Something to look into. Maybe make a video and see what other YouTubers say about it?

No that's not true. It's just people are confused about YouTube split.

Youtube rewards 10 minute long + consistent daily uploads. Videos that take time to make, and have large gaps in time such as your channel get ranked on the low end of youtubes scale now. Same reason why so many animators are leaving youtube because its no longer profitable enough.

Why do long videos get rewarded then?

Long videos (with high audience retention values) get rewarded because they can show more ads.

As a whole, ad prices are down 10-15% compared to what they were a year ago this time. There are also more people using ad blockers.

CPM's are all over the place for everyone. Sometimes they are ridiculously low, other times insanely high. All I know is one should not worry about the money aspect of things, especially if you do not rely on YouTube for your livelihood. And even if you where at that level there is little you can do about things. Sometimes advertisers just spend less on advertizing! That is why full-time YouTube can be a loosing proposition at times.
