It's sad really how freaking terrible the COD community is on Youtube. I'm almost glad I didn't buy an Elgato to make COD commentaries.

YES. It's crazy the amount of COD that pollutes the YouTube search engine XD
Though I will say, I was extremely happy to see MisterFantasmo return to the game, but not with COD gameplay. Now he does helmet videos while on his motor bike XD

Well her angle is "wow look, a female gamer!" So if she isn't playing herself that's basically false advertising and people do have a right to be p****d. Don't see a need for much drama though, just unsub and leave. Vote with your wallet.

This, I wouldn't mind this at all... If she wants to threat her viewers like that than she has the right to do so, it's her channel.

Hey everyone, so for those of you that don't know, GirlGoneGamer is a femal COD commentator that has recently come under fire from the YouTube community about being fake.
Essentially what this means is that she is not the one playing the games, someone else plays under her gamertag and then she records the commentary.
When this first started I was on her side, thinking that she wouldn't be going through all the trouble to just trick people and get a few subscribers.
But after seeing that she has nearly half a million subs and has never once done a live face came COD match, kinda suspicious.
Anyways, what are your thoughts? Or did you even know about this prior to this post? I'd love to hear your opinions
To each their own is what I usually say. If she's not really playing but the person playing is fine with the arrangement, then this is a whole lot of noise over nothing. Granted, she should be coming clean about it if that's the case, but not my place to say. If she's stealing someone else's gameplay, that's a different matter.
In any case, it's probably being overblown.

It's kind of like what SeaNanners did. He stopped playing CoD completely. Now, he has fun and posts everyday and a lot of people are happy with that. In the beginning, though, his channel's growth rate decreased but the past 6 months it's been all good again

I never liked her anyways, I always disliked the idea of a channel solely based around being a girl gamer. If we want to grow as a community, being a girl gamer shouldn't be this mystified idea and should just be treated as a regular thing.

SeaNanners is fantastic! Definitely in my top 5 YouTubers.
I liked GGG for her commentary, her being a girl never really affected my opinion of her, the fact is that she's avoiding the problem instead of just addressing it and that's why I've fallen away from her content :/

That's how I feel. If she has been representing to her fans/viewers that she is actually playing the games, then that would be a problem. Authenticity is important.
