I feared that... so what does the letter of completion mean... does it have any value or is it also just to lure people?

It's part of the draw to lure people in. I doubt if there's any benefit from completing the school other than the letter and the satisfaction of completing the course. On the plus side, the playbook is a pretty good guide. Nearly every corporate run youtube channel swears by it and every partner manager at every network knows it by heart-that's what they turn to when you email them asking for advice. The trick to utilizing the playbook is to find out what works for your channel and what will need changing-take it as a rough guide and adapt what you learn to the data you receive when you apply the knowledge to your channel. There's plenty of stuff in there that is sound advice that just doesn't work for my channel, so don't be afraid to stray from it if something doesn't seem right.

why do you need to get 7-10 videos together and why is tommorow going to be fun?

because that what the cconfirmationmessage said you need to prep. I think it's so you can be used to making videos

I think they've updated the playbook now so it caters for more channels! still not sure if yours would come under it though :-(

Well thats good..cause i know many people didnt and arent going read the Creator Playbook,so this is a chance for us to learn it by not reading.....plus they are targeting new youtubers....so it will be great help to those who are new...

Good to see that you no longer think I should be kicked out . I'm not slamming the creator academy course. I was on the panel that advised youtube on how to get more people to read the creator playbook, so I'm guessing some of my ideas were used to create the course. It's a useful resource for those who don't know the playbook-and it's an excellent starting guide, but if you already know it, the course won't do anything for you.

well they could of done it at different weeks and just used the same pre recorded video? do you have any idea how big the google hangout will be with all of us in it?!?!?!

At the very least I can place the Youtube Creator Academy Letter Of Completion in my resume. Let's be honest that does have a nice ring to it

That's something you should definitely put on your resume. The creator playbook is required reading if you apply for a job at any corporate run channel or become a partner manager with a network. The letter/certificate won't be accepted as an alternative to taking a test on the playbook, but you'll probably have a leg up on people who don't list it on their resume if you ever decide to pursue a job in that sector.

hahaha..they know these would happend man..it is in the prophecy..hahaha...i think it will be flawless....dont worrryyy......Google can store millions of videos in one site...i bet they can do that with google hangouts...just be positive..
