I was told that Aflcin or whatever pays off somebody to get the strikes removed. Then they lock you in a horrible contract.

They could contact Google about getting closed Adsenses back if they were wrongly closed, they`ve stopped doing that now though.

Three green dots and you're good to go. I get copyright matches occasionally and I purchase the rights to use the music! It must sound similar to something else so it gets matched to something in YouTube's ID system.

What makes this story so hilarious is that if Activision or Treyarch somehow magically found my video with their trailer in it. I am 99% sure they would thank me if anything because after all, I am promoting their game.

Free advertisement for them, the video gives them positive reputation, so why would they care?

Because they don`t get money from your video unless they claim it

http://www.youtube.com/account_features If these are all green (first 3) you have no problem. Just delete the video with the content ID claim and move on. If one is red you have a problem, and becoming a partner can be very hard.
