YouTube contacts suck!

I've never sent a contact request in my life, but on my old channel I had 100's of them because other people would send me requests, and I accepted them thinking there would be a purpose. One day I decided hey why not send them all an invite to sub to my channel if they like it, of course no one did, but what I did receive shortly after my invite was someone had gone to my channel and down voted every single video. Now on the new channel I have I no longer accept contact requests.

thats crazy, but the thing is many youtuber are selfish , if they were really smart they would see that they gain more from collaborating with others

lol yeah I was not too happy. There's no way of knowing who it was so just to be safe we should probably egg everyone's houses. lmao I kid, I kid.

People ask me sometimes how I got so many subs so fast (which... I didn't really think less than 500 in 7 months was that fast but maybe it is?) but all I know to say when people ask me "how I do it" Is I'm just like "well I watch everyone's channel who subs to me and leave a comment on their videos as well, if there is even a chance I think I'd watch them I sub them, I welcome every new member I can to yttalk, also watching them and subbing anyone who catches my interest, I post on the forum every day trying to be as helpful and kind and genuine as I can and listen to my subs when they give me suggestions, that's all I do"

Now maybe there's more I should do, maybe there's a way I could promote that would make me go twice as fast, but it's still proof, that when you show an interest in others, they show an interest in you. And just look at my comments section and likes, when people feel like they matter to you as well, they WANT to show up, they WANT to say things about your video, if you're just trying to "get views without making contact" Well... good luck hahaha lemme know how that works out for ya.

Totally agreed. I try my best to live my life by a few philosophies 1. Be what you want to see, and 2. Give what you want to get.
I enjoy offering support to others because I know how good it feels to receive it and I want to give that feeling to other people. Because of my belief in the underlying unity of all things I also believe giving and receiving are essentially the same thing which is why I feel so good making others feel good. Selfish? Sure, but the right kind of selfish. I love that I've found a group of such cool, and selfless individuals whom I can all relate to because we are all creators attempting to offer something of value to the world.
