YouTube Channel Verification

Hey everyone.

So I am wondering if some of you can help me out with this. I have checked googles forums but they have not been too great.

How does a channel go about getting that verification tick next to their channel?
I have linked up my website to my G+ profile and everything... But there does not seem to be an option to reply...
Also how many followers does one need to have?

These guys have below 30...
 
Yea but their youtube channel has 60k subs. You need to be a relatively large youtuber to get verified
 
You need to become a YouTube partner and enable monetization, and make it so you can make longer than 15 minute videos. Go to YouTube settings, view additional features which is located near the bottom of the page. Enable monetization and longer videos; when you enable these, you will need to insert your phone number so they can contact you the "code." This pretty much verifies your account and makes you a YouTube partner.

No, that is phone verification.

I don't know then so never-mind, I thought he was asking something else because it says that im verified so I guess I was thinking about the wrong thing.
