YouTube Channel Help & Suggestions needed! (Let's Plays / Minecraft)

Hey everyone!

I've wanted to restart my youtube channel after my break I would like to ask for some suggestions, feedback and help with videos that I could create or improve on my channel to kickstart it again :)

My ultimate goal is to reach 10.000 Subs and make three videos to four each week. Once I reach my sub goal I really want to start making daily videos.

For my channel I have been planning three kinds of sections / series:
  • A Minecraft Let's Play (One or two every week on a special day)
  • Minecraft Reviews: Texture Packs, Mods and maps
  • Minigames (Mostly on fridays as these are more chill videos :D )
  • Random Video (Maybe a different game or so)
I would love to hear some feedback and suggestions how I could improve my YouTube channel, it's design and thumbnails and also maybe how I could make it more professional? :)

I would say, try something other than Minecraft. It's over done and it seems to be a majority of your videos. Experiment with other games, do an entire let's play of something else and see how it's received. I know that people suggest that Youtubers should find a 'thing' that they do and stick with it, but I think you can still do that and play games like Minecraft to add a bit of diversity to what you're all about. Maybe focus on sandbox, creative games like Minecraft, or even Minecraft-likes like Trove, a free MMO on Steam.

Or if the creative aspect of Minecraft isn't your focus in what you already do, maybe it's exploration or indie that your audience is interested in and there are loads of games out there like that. (I would suggest games such as Terraria and Starbound, tho these are also done quite a lot)

Modding seems pretty big on your channel too. Maybe you could target games that have a large modding community and show off some mods from other games?

I guess what I'm saying is that, if you want to come back with a bang, hit them with something entirely new. Then look at your analytics or poll your audience and see what is working and what isn't. If you diversify your channel within what you already know, you are more likely to be found by other sorts of people and create a loyal bunch of followers.
 
Well! After viewing your channel I can only say positive things! Graphics are quality, audio and video quality are great, game audio to commentary audio is nice, not drowning out one or the other. If you are thinking about implementing other content you should do it gradually. Your current subscriber base appears to come from Minecraft, so remember to keep them in mind when reaching out to other things! Overall, great content and great work and welcome back from your break!
 
My two cents.

1) It is great that you have an intro video that is between 30 second and a minute long, but seriously consider redoing it. First talk about what kind of things you talk about on your channel ... then who you are (people subscribe to people, not channel) ... then tell your release schedule ... and then do ONE call-to-action and that is for them to subscribe. Don't monetize your intro video, as have done with your current one. The intro video is an ad for your channel. Don't have another's ad hurt your ad.

2) I like it that you have created your own character for your thumbnails. Good move. Enables your subscribers to know which is your video at a glance. However, I would research thumbnail design more, especially the text to use on them.

3) Why are you waiting to hit 10,000 subs before you go daily? Actually, you should do that now if you can. It is what you need to do to be competitive.

4) Subscribe to Tim Schmoyer's "Video Creators" and mine its archive. You can and should spend days in its archive.

5) Email your local media (newspapers, radio stations, and TV stations) by sending them a press release about your channel and you. Stress that you're a local boy. Newspapers, radio stations, and TV stations are ALWAYS on the look out for "local color". If you get on a radio talk show, try to be funny on it. The more funny you are, the more likely they'll ask you to come back again.

6) Lastly but most importantly, collaborate, collaborate, and collaborate. You're a very small channel right now but everyone has to start from somewhere. Your best bet is to contact local YouTube channels. As you grow, contact larger and larger gaming channels that match your new size. Always propose an activity for the collaboration and never just that you want to do one. After you release a collaboration video, send links to it to other local YouTubers to show them how you do collaborations and invite them again to do one with you.

I really appreciate everyone's support here and it really motivated me so much. I will be creating fresh new content on my channel soon and will try my best to make it entertaining, fun and different :)
