I see you have a 'Tech' channel. Do you also have endorsement deals?I've been lucky enough to make a decent amount via YouTube on a monthly basis.
Initially my main aim was for YouTube to pay my monthly mortgage. I far exceeded this and once my channel really starting making me some good money I decided to invest some into better equipment to create more professional looking content.
Hence I took out a 0% interest credit card and purchased my editing equipment - about £5k worth of stuff!
I could have just bought it all, but my plan was to have YouTube earnings pay for it all. Hence I've put the whole lot on a 0% card and every month my YouTube earnings go straight towards paying it all off.

Awesome! Do they pay you for it? If you don't mind me asking..No deals with any companies whatsoever.
Im at a stage now where they just find me and contact me directly - I don't have to go out searching and contacting companies requesting items to review.
Some of them just automatically send me stuff as they release them!! They don't even ask me any more! As soon as they release a new product I just find it at my doorstep!! lol
Im just waiting for Google and Apple to start doing that.....lol
Hey I can dream can't I!!!

That is some awesome information! Great to know its possible! No, I don't get paid by the company.
What I do get is usually I keep the item they send me - sometimes it can be a £20 item, sometimes its a £400 item, but I also get some free promotion as well, since they place the video up on their social media pages
For example, a very popular computer company sends me memory, hard drives, just received a 64GB USB Flash drive worth £50; and I get to keep it, but they also promote the video on their social media as well, which earns me more revenue in terms of views etc through Adsense. Im happy with that to be honest.
Another retailer will send me all GoPro items at cost price, in exchange for a rebranded version of my video for their website - so I do my own video for my channel, and then a second version using their branding instead, which they place on their website. I still get revenue from ads since I host it in an 'unlisted' state, and I have a link to my channel page at the end as well so I may well be getting some traffic through their site etc.
I don't use social media whatsoever, so let the larger companies promote videos for me
Its all about getting the contacts list growing and maintaining a good relationship.

You and I have similar subs and views, yet my videos don't make nearly enough to pay the mortgage.I've been lucky enough to make a decent amount via YouTube on a monthly basis.

That's actually pretty smart. Youtube is a passing fancy that could nosedive at any time. It's smart that you didn't let the extra income go to your head and quit your day job. We're doing quite well. Financially I could quit my day job, but I haven't for several reasons. We formed an LLC and all video-related purchases are a tax write-off.
