YouTube and Ubisoft Policies - They require written permission

I Love YTtalk
I just wanted to post this to let some people know, since there have been a fair few people having problems with ACIV monetisation, that YouTube for some reason, don't accept Ubisofts policy and PDF as commercial rights. I have no idea why but apparently they are wanting written permission now and that PDF is not good enough. And this could become a potential problem for those of you who do it as a career as Ubisoft aren't staffed to hand out permissions every time. There is a possibility they would classify this as an online license though but not written permission.

Did Ubisoft and Youtube have some sort of disagreement or lawsuit? Just sounds weird that Youtube is singling out Ubisoft in particular. Also I think as long as you're partnered with a network you'll be fine.

You won't be once affiliate/managed kick in.

I hope that doesn't happen if I monetize the Rayman 2 LP at some time... :unsure2:
I think you might have to select online license. I'm not entirely sure anymore. Because YouTube asked for this:

"YouTube is not in a position to offer legal advice or to counsel you in any way. However, we have listed some elements below which we have seen in contracts to give you a sense of the types of documents we receive.

-explicit permission to use the rights holder’s content commercially (example: “I, rights holder’s name, give your name or channel’s name, the right to use my original content commercially.”)
-electronic signature with date (this can be as simple as the rights holder writing out full name at the bottom of the document)"
and this:

"Please note that your documentation should provide the sender and recipient contact name and email address."

is it cause the game is new or something? I heard you get claimed a lot if you do let's plays of some of the newer games, moments after they just came out. I guess to avois spoilers?

It solely depends on the publisher, if they want to earn revenue off of its fans and their videos they will enter their game visuals into Content ID and those that don't mind won't do such a thing. Whether or not your video gets monetized obviously has nothing to do with them though, that's YouTube.

No, there are no claims. This is to get the video monetised. I had already contacted Ubisoft about the embargo they had, they removed it the next day. If there is an embargo then you do get claims but it's also up to the copyright holder if they want to make revenue off you or not.
