Youtube Analytics Watch time Update

Very interesting change indeed. My top views video for the past 28 days is 5th in watch time. Youtube wants creators to make longer, more compelling, videos.
 
It's interesting, but not that good for me. My videos are only a few second long, my average view direction is 11 seconds, I wonder if this has a negative effect on my channel.
 
Interesting new feature! I always like having more data to look at, and this is especially good since it's something that's so important to how well your channel is regarded by Youtube's algorithms etc.
 
In my opinion Youtube is trying to move into the Netflix place by provide original series. So the want people to start getting used to watching longer videos on youtube instead of the 2-3 min norm we have now. Which is why they want us to focus on watch time. In order to have a higher watch time you need longer videos.
