I was curious to hear about other people's experience with Youtube Adwords.

Say Adwords gives you 1000 views, how many subscribers have you gotten per 1000 views?

I am aware this varies alot but I am honestly curious as to the highs lows and averages of this.

maybe 5-10 per 2k views. But that just me. I'll be dropping a new video tomorrow, which will be a trailer to my channel, and I think it will bring up more people than a classical let's play

Depends quite a bit. I have very limited experience with paid advertising, however when I did it on my previous channel my results varied all the way from 5 subs per 100 views, all the way to 0 subs after 1000 views. For me, my guess would be that it depended quite a bit on how good my video was, as well as the ad copy, targeting, etc.

Hope that helps!

Last month 10.000 views (+1500 earned views), only 19 subs :( I'm still trying different things and it does seems to get a bit better now, trying to figure out which keywords work for which video.
E.g. the last 7 days I had 1700 views (+750 earned views) and 5 subs.

I also kill adds that seriously ruin my retention. Some video content seems to work better than others, even when targeting specific groups and keywords.

How many subs did you get from the range between $2.25 and $10?
I think he meant 1 sub per this value but he can clarify further. If you go down the adwords route, make sure you don't pay more than 0,01$ per view. For a lot of subjects and keywords this is more then sufficient. If you let if go by the default, you can pay quite a lot per view and the price per sub/view is going way up. So this way 100 dollars will give you 10.000 views (excluding any earned views) and if done right hopefully around 5 to 10 subs.
