Your thoughts on streaming on YT?

Hello, I just recently started a new channel all about tech&gaming discussions and news. For some of my videos I'm planning to use some footage of gameplay, so I thought of a perfect plan: stream those videos on YT. Would it be ok to stream gaming content if my channel is more about news and discussions?

I don't see anything wrong with streaming games on YT gaming as an alternative form of content. I used to do it often when it first aired. I earned over 100 subscribers within the first two weeks of YouTube Gaming airing. Not sure about the audience on YT gaming anymore.

I think its okay depends on how big your audience is but don't have expectations for it. Cuz your subscribers have subscribed to you for news and discussions and know thats what you do so some of them might not be into gaming.[DOUBLEPOST=1466457150,1466457002][/DOUBLEPOST]I know i always watch this dude with 12k subs stream and he does like music production and teaches ppl and thats what im into. But sometimes he streams gaming and i never watch those cuz im just not into gaming

Currently I have 0 subs :D but I guess my imagery audience would naturally be in interested in gaming as I'm planning on covering a lot of topics related to gaming

I actually want to do a live stream real soon but the sad thing is that my audience is in the US and I'm in the Netherlands soooooo timing is going to be a difficult one!

I'm planning on multi streaming to multiple sites, twitch, youtube and facebook.
Putting my content on multiple platforms making it easy to access.
But from what I've experienced of youtube streaming, it's just as good as twitch nowadays.

the one huge benefit for live streaming on youtube is that you can get paid a lot faster. Once youtube accepts to monetize your videos you can make some small income. Twitch you have to build a huge audience than get accepted or beg for money and donations from people.
