I'm eating lunch right now, kind of bored, and want to hear other people's stories! Now, I haven't gotten my first real hate yet, but I'm a girl who plays video games and as sad as it is... I know it's going to happen. (Although I do have harassment stories but those aren't funny so let's not go there. Stories for another time!)

Anyway! What was your first hate comment on youtube? How did you react to it? Did you just delete it? Respond? Print it out and frame it in gold on your work desk? Share your stories! You never know, it might help someone cope with the way they respond to hate

I haven't really gotten hate comments yet. I did have one guy pretty much be like 'I don't really like the helmet, or the game, or the size of the window your head is in, or the blah blah blah' and proceeded to rip my channel apart on a Facebook group once. I responded and we went back and forth for a while until he gave up haha. No one is taking my beloved helmet from me!

I've had people that thought I was into them or something!? because I reacted politely on a nice comment on my vids or social media accounts, one of them kept sending me these semi sexual message's and after 3 times of not getting the hint that I'm not looking for that kind of attention he kept going on so eventually I blocked the dude.

LOL he noticed and got super angry about it and tried to call me a massive sl*t in the comment section with all capitals of my video's and started disliking my vids. Luckily I found out about it fast because I don't appreciate someone trying to sl*t shame me so I blocked/reported the hell out of the dude on every account that I could find, made sure the comment was deleted and send a bomber mail to his email address with a polite message to not mess with me again.

Never heard of the dude again so glad it worked, I always try to be polite also when people try to hit on me. I still politely tell them I'm not out here looking for that kind of attention and I'm in a happy relationship of 14+ years so thanks for the compliment but no more plz

I don't know that I've gotten any legitimately hateful comments. I've had the occasional negative remark made about my appearance, which is expected... and occasionally I'll have someone call me "gay" or something to that effect, which is partially true. I don't think I've ever gotten anything more serious than that.

I don't remember it. My channel is 10 years old after all. Most likely it was on one of my videos where I showed my super awesome method for defeating a really hard optional boss in an RPG and people were claiming I cheated. I would get defensive and tell them that if I cheated, why would I show it off.

I get called fugly a lot...or sometimes people complain that I'm playing "easy stuff." Both are their emotional problems, not mine. ^^ lol!

The weird thing is, other people say they think I'm playing stuff so fast that I must have altered the video's speed (it would sound terrible if I did that).. >> I do agree the music I'm playing is "easy" relative to how much technique I've learned, but the difficulty of a song shouldn't determine whether or not to play it... =/

I think the very first hate comment I've ever had was on an older channel where someone wanted me to go kill myself or something..honestly, I can't really remember.. xD
