I can agree with @Ciarra deBritto with Hannah Hart, but if I had to choose somebody else, I would go with Shane Dawson. He has been through a lot also and is a success story as well.

I'm surprised no-one mentioned Markiplier yet, I guess I'll point him out. Not only because he's a great gamer youtuber but also a figure the symbolize "bigger then life," each of his vlogs isn't about him rambling about some pointless thing that happened only one day and he wants to talk about to get it off his back (like most vloggers), he talks about life situations, situations that anyone can struggle with and how you can over-come it. I guess you can say he's Youtube's therapist lol

I also like Hyun, (aka flyingpanda1990) started out as a noob animator, he self-learn himself of how to animate on his spare time, and made awesome stick figure animations. Some people only see stick figures as a simple thing to make, simple yes, but so effective just like any-other cartoon. His stick figure animations change people's opinions about that subject. Not only that but he started his own online social website "HyunsDojo" for all animators to come and be part of an amazing community. Dude's making bank from that website.

Badcomedian, OmskoeTV - but mainly his original channel with the animation - both of them started completely alone - computer animation, sound everything.
From the US channel recently Brooklyn and Bailey seems quite good - I mean their parents did a great job - this is one of the few kids/teens channels I wouldn't mind to borrow some techniques/strategies.

I have 2, and just because they're friends and I knew them before they "got big". It would be VenturianTale and MrWilliamo. Isaac from VenturianTale is a great kid, and I'm glad him and his brother and sisters are having such great success. Will from MrWilliamo has been working hard on his channel for a long time, and in the last 9 months or so it really blew up and started paying off for him

Boogie2988. I'd go into detail but there is so much about him I respect and adore that I'd be here all night typing. All I will say about him is that I am very happy for him and the fact he was put on earth.

Veritasium. He based his whole PhD on teaching physics! Then gave up his full-time job to make awesome videos. Definitely an inspiration

Raedwulfgamer just recently made it big, and I started following him as it picked up, I got to see all his heartfelt reactions to his spike in popularity and it felt like I was on the ride with him. Really nice guy

Also markiplier as everyone's said, very charitable, lovely guy!

Egoraptor, mrweebl, and other animators I followed back in newgrounds, made success for themselves on YouTube and I'm very happy for them. even though ego doesn't animate a lot these days, I enjoy his gaming videos.
