Your Backup Solution?

I dont use any cloud backups. Its not enough and I dont want to pay subscriptions for it.

I have a 1TB ThunderBolt drive that I use as my scratch/rendering disk which I create a project.
Once its created it is moved to my Drobo5D, which has a RAID array with several TB's of storage. This is connected to my Server via Thunderbolt, so plenty of speed, as well as easily available across my network.
I dont really create a duplicate backup of all my YouTube data to be honest. Its not mission critical for me.

All my important data/photos/video clips of my kids etc - the important stuff - is backed up to my Time Capsule wirelessly.
Every so often I do a manual backup to a portable HDD, which I store at my parents house.

i don't keep any backups of everything. well i do let stuff lie around for a week, and then delete it on my computer. main issue is that it's almost 6 years old around now, so i can't spare having huge stuff lying around.

besides. i trust technology 100% :) at least that's what i like to think as an excuse :P

my backup solution is burn everything. ahahah Actually I have a 500GB external harddrive that I keep all my videos on after I render them. Gonna need a new one soon :P

I keep all my uploaded videos on various drives in my computer, depending on which ones are working and which ones I'm replacing. Since you guys are chatting about brands, I've found Western Digital drives last longer than Seagate drives, but they're quite a bit more expensive. I'm fine buying either brand since I've never lost a drive without getting all the data off of it first since I use drive monitoring software.

I don't use any off-site backups since I figure that the likelihood of a tornado or flood (the only 2 natural disasters we get here) ruining the second floor of my house is pretty low.

Hey everyone, damn this thread has been running for almost 4 days and we are on Page 3 lols.
It's good to see what different methods people use as a backup. But most users seem to be using Dropbox. But Dropbox offers limited space after which you will need to pay extra for more storage space.
Dropbox is a cloud service. For those people that use Dropbox why are you using this service? As there are many other different cloud services around.

I delete the Raw Files and just keep the final video on external harddrive. I've got videos from August 2010 on here XD

RAW files produce very high file sizes. In fact, if I was to select the file sizes of 10 project files that have RAW files the total will be more than 50gb! lols
But at times when I backup I also delete the RAW files.

I also prefer reliability over speed, however want a hard drive that can read and write on mac and windows.

If you want a HD that works both on Mac & Windows bud then you'r limiting yourself already. As there are only 2 HDs released from a decent/well-known brand (Western Digital)
But if you wanted a HD for each PCs; Mac & Windows then it can be done. You should be able to get 2 decent HDs bud.

What do you want to do?
