Well i would love it if the 39% was on those 20min videos but they are not haha thats why i mentioned that they would be bringing mine down, i have about 8 videos around 20mins long and the rest (about 10) are only a couple of mins long and they're the ones that seem to keep the viewers whereas the longer ones (which are my COD:AW veteran walkthrough) don't :'( sadly hahahaIf you can bring in 39% view time on a 20 minute video, I'd say you're doing well, that's a lot of watch time! I think YouTube cares more about how many minutes they are watching on your videos than the actual %. And then they track what the viewer is doing after they watch their video. Hopefully staying on YouTube!
Bro, you are honestly lucky, especially compared to mine. My audience retention is only 23%, but I think my old videos honestly ruined my chances for any good audience retention for a while.Just thought I'd ask this question as I saw a thread relating to it the other day - what kind of audience retention are you guys getting? I'm averaging 49% at the moment, though my recent videos have gotten upwards of 70%. Just curious as to you guys' audience retention and how it's changed over the time you've been on YouTube, and how we all compare![]()
