You just uploaded and then....ARRRGH!

Taking over the world... ...one kid at a time!
I just uploaded a video, filled out all the tags and description data, uploaded the thumbnail, and started doing the annotations, then I noticed something strange...a full minute of black screen at the end of the video!

ARRRGGGHHH. I always watch the video before I upload, looking for mistakes, but I didn't watch this one to the very end, or I would have noticed I accidentally left a small sound bit out there after a minute of silence and black screen.

Then of course, after I deleted it and re-uploaded it, I realized I could have just used the YouTube "trim" function to fix that issue.

ARRRGGGH!!!

Anyone want to commiserate?

Awww haven't had that happen, yet, since I don't do any editing. That sucks. I know from reading these forums that most videos take TONS of effort(editing, etc).

In my case I often make videos only to find there is a horrible mistake and I have to remake it. This usually happens in videos that take more mental effort. For example I made a video about 2 weeks ago which I think is great, but there is a mistake. I could annotate it, but not sure if it's worth doing, maybe a redo:/[DOUBLEPOST=1419232639,1419232544][/DOUBLEPOST]

And I always watch them fully(and listen since mistakes sometimes occur verbally) before uploading, yet every once and a while a mistake evades me. I've deleted two videos so far due to major mistakes.

You have a much less forgiving audience, I would imagine, with all those mathematics buffs watching. Of course all kinds of people delight in pointing out mistakes, it's like a badge of honor for some people!

Funny, not sure why, but yeah I can see that!!

Yeah I have 2 dislikes so far, and one of them is on a video which I believe is one of my BEST videos. It's funny because what I think are my best videos get zero attention. It's the ones I think are bland that become popular.

Off topic but yeah:)

I once had a picture of female hitler in one of my videos, but I hadn't noticed that one of her/his nipples were showing which isn't allowed, then I had to use Youtube trimmer but I had to cut a full second so it had this little chunky bit.

I have had that a few times but I didn't realise I could have used the trimmer, that's a handy tip because I am sure this happens to loads of people but at least it hadnt went public. I have had a few edits missed out accidentally due to not watching it through after editing and rendering. Sometimes after editing for an hour or so you think you have seen it enough to notice any issues with it but I get caught out sometimes. I always make sure I watch them through before they go public.

I get this a LOT. with animation, any one of the 16,000 frames may have a little problem, and I need to redo it. but how long does it take to see this problem?

Well there are 3 exports I have to sit through first to even watch a playback of it.
1 - exporting from flash (may be in several parts too so up to around 5 exports there)
2 - import into AE (sometimes need to move all the sound effects and voices around to fit the new edit to the main file) - export from there
3 - import into squared MP4 converter - export into MP4

and FINALLY I get to watch it smoothly on the computer... only to see that one sound effect is out of sync, or there's another dodgy frame.

and this happens every video at least 4 or 5 times

Oh yes... I've had people literally screen cap and circle tiny details I have wrong and point them out to all their friends XD I have to admit, I am impressed by their keen eye and dedication.

on the other hand I ALWAYS have people pointing out I spell things wrong, because I'm not american and spell colours with a u, but that's just something I have leaned to deal with (seriously been happening for longer than 5 years on the same video)
