You already have an AdSense account !!!

Hi
I am stuck in a strange situation
I had a youtube channel in 2011 and my AdSense was disabled due to invalid click activity.

I created a new channel for my wife in 2020 after completing the requirements I applied for Monetization and a message appeared that "You already have an AdSense account "
Though the email address of both accounts was different, I guess they picked from my name and address, etc

What to do now? Can't I create a new Adsense account for her channel? For how long it will keep showing

As you have previously been banned from Adsense, you are NOT permitted to have another account. You can not monetize on YouTube. There is nothing more that you can do.

But its a new channel , cant I setup new adsense for her
So all the effort made to set up this new channel is wasted?
