I just hit 50 subscribers, and I'm sure it's mostly friends, family, friends of family, friends of friends, and random people who just stumbled on my vlogs... I need to know what to do from here? What do y'all do to promote your channel? The only "tips" I've heard are to basically hang out in the forums, stay active on all forms of social media, and tweak your tags and titles for ultimate search-ability. Anywho... I'm excited with 50 for now! My first goal after the first 50 is to reach 100 by the end of September. Is that even doable?

"Now what?" Keep making videos, that's what. lol

Honestly, that's the best advice I could give. You sound a bit down on motivation/drive, but at the end of the day you can only do so much. Just keep making content and keep improving and the subs should come. I mean, I used to think the stuff I was making when I first started this channel was AWESOME, but looking back, it was total crap. And in the near-future, I'll probably think the same of the content I'm making now. I sure hope so anyways, because I always wish to improve, and hopefully that's the same thing with you. ^^

Sorry for the rambling, but to answer your other question: I believe it to be totally possible. HOWEVER, if it doesn't, don't let it get to you. Just keep at it. :x32:

Is it doable? Sure. You can potentially find 50 more friends and family and get it done quick hah. Or you can pester the ones that have subscribed to you to help spread your videos, if they do that sort of thing.

It is definitely possible to gain another 50 subscribers by the end of the month. One tip I will give you is to make sure you are regularly producing videos, preferable have a weekly schedule. One thing that I have noticed is that after I release a video I get a spike in new subscribers over the next day or two.

Gaining the next 50 is theoretically easier/quicker the the first 50 because gaining subscribers is exponential. The more viewers you have the more people you have to share your video.

Awesome work getting to your first milestone and I wish you the best of lucky reaching the next.

First of all: congratulations!
Secondly: That goal is totally doable!
Thirdly: My biggest piece of advice is to network, look out for other youtubers around your size and converse with them :) That's what I did in my early days and not only did I find a great community of youtubers to support, and support me, but I also found some wonderful friends :)

It took me so long to tell my family let alone my friends lol
So good for you!
Honestly that might help you, talking to the camera like you're talking to friends rather than, well a camera lol
Just keep going! I believe in youuuuuuuuu!

Thanks so much!!! It's hard when you feel like you're doing tons of content and the views and subs aren't coming as fast as you expect despite spending so much time and energy editing and whatnot! Thanks for the encouragement! I agree with the improvement stuff, too. I have already noticed a difference in my editing skills just from doing this daily for three weeks. I can't wait to really polish things up. This youtubing stuff is now my pet project. ;)

Thanks, darlin! I hope to find new friends doing this... It's hard to explain to others why I am choosing to record my life. Mainly, I just feel so happy and in my prime right now, and I want to share just a little bit of that feeling with others. Hopefully, as that comes through in my videos as I become more comfortable in front of the camera. :) Love your channel, by the way! I checked it out!

Congrats on getting your 50 subs. I just got to 52 a few minutes ago and I'm hoping to get to 100 followers by the end of the year. Getting 100 by the end of September might be possible, lets have a friendly race to see who can reach 100 first. The winner gets a cookie :D
